Why Feed Raw?
Every cat owner wants to give their companion the best possible life, and that starts with what we put in their bodies. The most appropriate food you can give your cat is species appropriate raw food. A raw diet aims to provide cats with food that most closely resembles what they would naturally hunt for and eat in the wild. Because cats are obligate carnivores, they require animal-based nutrients to thrive. A cats body is designed to consume raw meat. When properly made, a raw diet can make a world of a difference to your cats health.

What's Wrong With Kibble?
Dry cat food, commonly known as kibble, is one of the most popular feeding choices for pet owners. While it is convenient and affordable, many kibble formulas contain significant amounts of carbohydrates and plant-based ingredients that cats cannot proper digest in large quantities.
Cats are obligate carnivores, meaning they are biologically made to obtain most of their nutrition from animal-based foods. When reading the ingredient list on many commercial dry foods, you'll often find grains, starches, and other fillers used to create the kibble structure and extend shelf life. Many ingredients in kibble are simply not appropriate for cats to consume, if your cat isn't showing any negative side affects of eating kibble now they will later in life.
Another concern with kibble is moisture content. As most cat owners observe, cats dont drink a lot of water. Cats naturally obtain most of their hydration from their food, yet kibble typically contains very little moisture. A properly balanced raw diet focuses on animal proteins, organs, and essential nutrients while providing higher moisture levels that more closely resemble a cat's natural prey.
Ultimately, every cat owner must choose what's best for their pet and lifestyle. My goal is not to criticize other feeding choices but to share the information and experiences that led me to raw feeding and the positive results I've personally witnessed with my own cat and with plenty of other cats that have tried my raw diet.
