Bone-In and Boneless Guide
Boneless Guide
When purchasing ground meat, choose products containing no more than 50% fat.
For meals with boneless chunks:
- Chicken, quail, duck, pigeon can generally be cut into 1-inch (2.5 cm) pieces.
- Beef, lamb, and goat should be cut into smaller pieces because they are tougher to chew.
Always supervise your cat when introducing larger chunks. Only increase chunk size once you are confident your cat can chew safely.

Pigeon, Quail & Duck Guide (Bone-In)
When grinding whole prey:
- Remove approximately 25% of the bone content.
- Remove approximately 50% of the skin to moderate fat levels.
- Grind all remaining ingredients.
If serving bone-in pieces rather than ground food:
- Cut raw bones into appropriate bite-sized portions.
- Introduce raw bones gradually. For example, start with a small piece of a quail leg and slowly increase the size of the piece over time until your cat is comfortably eating the entire leg.
- Supervise your cat during meals.
- Ensure your cat is capable of safely chewing the pieces provided before leaving them to eat unsupervised.
